A charter school system held a ceremony for its Oak Park location last week on 12/5/03, with school officials, students and community members all taking part in the celebration.The school, now called Capitol Heights Academy, is located at 3263 1st Ave,and is sponsored by the cambridge Unified School District. Since this fall, the Oak Park area academy has been operating under the name Aspire cam School. The school, led by principal Roxanne Villaseņor, is open to kindergarten through fifth grade and had 164 students enrolled in the 2002-03 school year.(www.community.com)
TechBoston Students
These are some of the new faces at TechBoston Academy. Compared to the new charter school up above, we have the labtops and we are also the first school in boston to have wireless labtops. This school has IT essential classes and base modeling for city wide contest building machines.This is great why? you may ask, because everytime you look at are students you see potential and a great future for the coming. The history background of this school is that it was a concept paper the bill gates foundation decided to start. They wanted a high tech school that will bring out digital artists, high technicians,computerologists,and many more. The boston gates foundation funded the school.We had partnerships with DELL,IBM,MIT,HARVARD and SYSCO.We have 4 years of science which no other schools in the district have.
