TechBoston's mission is to inspire Boston Public School students by providing access to cutting edge technology resources and opportunities that positively advance their academic and career aspirations.

The TechBoston staff carries out this mission on three levels: 1.) structuring events to build technology awareness among younger students; 2.) providing classroom support and teacher professional development to improve teaching and learning; and 3.) through working the Boston Private Industry Council to place technology-skilled high school students in jobs and internships.

TechBoston is funded by the City of Boston through the Boston School Department and receives additional support from foundations and corporations. TechBoston also receives support through Mayor Thomas M. Menino’s Boston Digital Bridge Foundation.
